This month I selected a really easy but healthy vegetarian Indian recipe for Cauliflower Uppuma as recipe of the month. The key ingredient in this recipe is cream of wheat but I have added some vegetables (cauliflower and tomato) to the onion, garlic and spices so I can feel like I am following my diet. With only three steps: fry the cream of wheat, cook the vegetables with the spices and mix it all together, anyone can
make this tasty recipe the first time.
This dish will please everyone in your family including those who have never eaten Indian food before. Since it is not spicy hot in the least so it is a great option to serve for breakfast or lunch. I have to admit that I do like it for a light dinner as well. In India, it is served as a snack at teatime with red or green coconut chutney.
My husband used to make this Cauliflower Uppuma recipe for many of our weekend brunches after we were first married. At that time he wanted to impress me that he knew how to cook Indian food. It took me a while but I finally figured out that this dish is incredibly easy to make and the variations are easy too.
I hope you enjoy this Indian Cauliflower Uppuma recipe of the month. Please let me know how yours turns out!
